Vertical Light Tubes Reduce Need for Conventional Lighting

Vertical light tubes capture natural sunlight via a set of light tubes installed on the roof of the Visitors Centre. Once the sunlight has been captured, it is directed down a shaft with a mirror-like inner liner. The light is then reflected directly into the building. A butterfly dimming installation allows you to control the amount of light that comes directly into the building or room via a dimmer or light switch.

The installation of vertical light tubes conserves energy by reducing the need for electrical lighting. Vertical light tubes collect sunlight from all angles, which means that even on a cloudy day, as long as the sun is out, the light tubes provide effective natural lighting within the building. Both homes and office buildings can install vertical light tubes and substantially reduce electric bills.
